Small sago pearls made from cassava starch. Ideal for Filipino desserts such as halo-halo, sago't gulaman, coconut desserts, and sweet beverages.

Cassava starch, water.

Directions for use:

  1. Prepare 3 litres of water for every 250 g of sago pearls.
  2. Bring the water to a rolling boil.
  3. Add the sago pearls only to boiling water.
  4. When the water returns to a boil, reduce the heat to low and cook for 14–15 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  5. Turn off the heat, cover the pot and let stand for 5 minutes. Drain.
  6. Soak in clean water for 1 minute, drain again and serve or use in your favourite recipe.

Warning:

  • Do not soak before cooking.
  • Do not add the sago pearls until the water is already boiling.

Storage instructions:
Store in a cool, dry place.
